Hello, we are so happy you are here!
We’re Jodie + Jamie, the creators behind Gen Digital Marketing, a boutique marketing agency located in Erie, Colorado. We have a lot to share with the world, but for now, we’re here to tell you a little about who we are and our: why.
We are sisters who have spent the majority of our lives doing *all the things* together.
We grew up side by side through swim lessons, gymnastics, basketball, softball, our first (and only) overnight camp, self-created plays and dance routines, a shared attic space with technically separate bedrooms (although we moved our beds to sleep in the same room anyway), one hair straightener that was fought over most mornings, driving together to and from school, coordinating high school art class schedules, sharing our first sips of alcohol – sorry mom! – and even dating brothers on, whoops, two separate occasions.
Likely this was mostly out of convenience to our parents, but little did we know at the time, the depth of the bond that was being created each day. Jodie left home for college in Colorado, and 3 years later, Jamie left home for college in Minnesota, intentionally to a completely different part of the country. If 18-year-olds can have identity crises, this (maybe) would have been Jamie’s, as this was her first big opportunity to make decisions and have some life experiences outside of Jodie’s shadow. It ended up being a long 7 years apart for both of us, so Jamie made the move to Colorado post-college, and instead of just enjoying finally being in the same state, we decided it was the best decision to live together in a tiny 2 bedroom house with our significant others and dogs 🙂
We had so much fun, entirely made the most of our ‘lost time,’ and created some core memories that will live in our hearts forever. Once we came to the realization that we couldn’t sustain that lifestyle forever (hello 👋🏻 marriages and babies), we decided the next best thing was to build houses one street and two blocks over from each other. Side note: and now we are forever dreaming about that 10-acre lot where we can build a few dream homes and continue to live < a quarter mile from each other.
As we begin our “30’s” decade, begin to grow our families, and begin to really start putting some thought into how we see the rest of our lives playing out. We have well over a decade of combined marketing work experience, *experts* in.. well nothing really. But we both love to learn, expand our knowledge-base, be free to be creative, and talk strategy. At the end of the day, we truly feel that our skills combined together form into a brilliant marketing content and business strategy package for small to medium-sized businesses (don’t let that scare you, we do also offer al-la-carte options which is outlined on our services page 😉).

Here’s a small part of our most recent ‘discovery’ story:
A few weeks ago, we finished up a group study on our life’s Chazown (pronounced khaw-ZONE), which is the Hebrew word for: dream, revelation, or vision.
In his book, Chazown: Define Your Vision. Pursue Your Passion. Live Your Life on Purpose, Craig Groeschel takes you through three often overlooked areas that can help you dig under the surface level of the every day and help you discover what your purpose in this life is.
Your core values, your spiritual gifts, and your past experiences.
Once you narrow down how these three overlap with one another, you essentially find your Chazown, and you can then continue down the path of applying it to five critical areas of your life: your relationship with God, your relationships with people, your finances, your health and fitness, and your work.
Chazown (pronounced khaw-ZONE): dream, revelation, or vision.
Throughout the 10 week session, we came to find that our focus (specifically in THIS season of life) is our ‘work’ – to wake up each day motivated by knowing exactly why we were created and put here at this place in time, and guided by intention with every step. Our hearts truly feel that the first step of creating this business is just our beginning.
And you are now asking, where did GEN come from?
The root word “Gen” means: being born, producing, coming to be.
(Ahh, there it is.)
So that’s that, for now! We would love any opportunity to chat more or network or just get to know our community a little more. Come follow along and see where this journey takes us. We are so excited and hopeful for supporting some really bad*ss small businesses near and far who are seeking to make real change and a lasting imprint on this world 💗
